Even though the Northumberland weather brought its fair share of wind and showers, nothing could dampen the happiness that surrounded this amazing couple.

Morning Preparations at Halton Grove

The morning began at Halton Grove, where Rachael and her bridal party got ready in the venue’s gorgeous on-site accommodation. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of excitement, with laughter echoing through the rooms as final touches were made. The soft, natural light streaming through the windows made it a dream setting for capturing all those beautiful pre-ceremony moments.

From the very first moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be a special day. Rachael and Tom are one of those couples who are just so naturally warm and kind — their love for each other is effortless and genuine, and it shines through in every glance and smile. We instantly felt welcomed by them and their families, who were just as lovely and easygoing. It felt less like working at a wedding and more like celebrating with friends.

This was our first wedding at Halton Grove, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The venue is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of rustic countryside charm and elegant modern design. The staff were incredible all day, friendly and professional, making sure everything ran smoothly no matter what the weather was doing outside. The food was fantastic too — a real treat for everyone. The owners should be so proud of the wonderful space they’ve created here; it’s clear that every detail has been thought through with so much care.

The Ceremony at Sacred Heart Church, Gosforth

After a joyful morning, everyone travelled to Sacred Heart Church in Gosforth for the ceremony. It’s a beautiful, traditional church and was the perfect setting for Rachael and Tom’s emotional vows. The ceremony was heartfelt from start to finish — you could really feel the love in the room. There were so many touching moments between the couple and their families, and a few happy tears too!

Back to Halton Grove for the Celebration

After the “I dos,” it was back to Halton Grove for the celebrations. The rain came and went, but guests took it all in their stride, armed with umbrellas, laughter, and good spirits. The barn looked stunning, full of warmth and personality, with beautiful decor that reflected Rachael and Tom’s relaxed, fun-loving style perfectly.

Throughout the day, it was clear how close this couple is — their connection is effortless, and their joy completely infectious. Photographing them together was an absolute pleasure; even when the wind picked up or a shower passed through, they just laughed and went with it. Those candid, joy-filled moments are what make a wedding so memorable, and we loved every second of capturing them.
